What else- another prenatal!

My midwife came over again tonight. We had a good time as usual. Who else can say that their prenatals are that fun!? BP was 90/68, everything else is good. Babe is still in a great position and I’ve been working hard at keeping him/her that way by practicing smart posture from spinningbabies.com. I’m still measuring right on track which I attribute to having greatly limited sugar/carbs this pregnancy in comparison with previous pregnancies (in which I measured on the larger side). We discussed more labor and birth details than usual since the birth month (November) is sneaking up on us here pretty soon. Like… how long do we want to delay cutting the cord? Indefinitely. I’ll be in no rush. (With Will I think it was around a hour before we got around to cutting it.) We talked about a few birth expectations-type things. Always good to clear all that up plenty ahead of time! She’s great with all of our requests/desires as they are mostly pretty typical of what she already does anyway so that works out well. I like that our expectations for the birth are not anything out-of-the-norm for her standard practices!

I had a chiropractic appointment yesterday to address some achiness and get adjusted/lined up properly. That was very helpful! We’d been trying to avoid that added expense this time around, but I got to the point where I felt I needed it too much to skip out on it anymore. Ends up I was all out-of-alignment which explains a lot! I’m glad to have done it now! And the chiropractor I saw had three homebirths herself which was very nice to hear about. Smile

Other than that, we’re just staying very busy and getting excited that November is finally approaching! Some very sweet friends requested to throw me a baby shower next week! Can you believe it? I’m so very touched! I’ve not had a baby shower at all since before Emily was born and at times that has been a little sad for me as I’ve seen other moms pregnant at the same time as me having their 2nd/3rd/4th/5th/6th babies have baby showers. I felt a little bit forgotten… it’s so nice to not feel that way this time!
